Charges are per night, days of play are always included. Dogs must arrive at the facility at least 2 hours prior to close but you are welcome to pick up anytime during our business hours.

Dog Day Getaway provides raised Kuranda beds and homemade fleece blankets for your dog’s comfort. We also provide stainless steel food and water dishes for your convenience. You are welcome to bring some extra comforts from home as well. However, we do not accept stuffed dog beds.

Food
Dog Day Getaway provides high quality Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Duck and Potato formula dog food should you choose not to bring yours from home. There is a $3.00/day charge for dry food; $2/can for wet.

Collars
Dog Day Getaway offers a unique variety of homemade collars in our facility. Fabulous designs are available that cannot be found at the big box stores.

Requirements to Play

At Dog Day Getaway, the health and safety of the dogs is our #1 priority. All dogs are screened to ensure that they meet our health and personality guidelines.

This type of cage free facility may not be for all dogs and Dog Day Getaway reserves the right not to admit any dog based on temperament and level of sociability.

All dogs must complete and pass our free 4 hour orientation. This gives us a chance to ensure that all the dogs that come to play or stay with us are a good fit for this type of environment

Health

Dogs must have documented proof of the following vaccinations:

Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella (kennel cough).

Dogs that are 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

Dogs must be on a regular flea and tick preventative as well as a heart worm preventative.

We also highly recommend getting a Lepto vaccine for your dog as well.

If your dog is showing signs of illness like coughing, sneezing, diarrhea or any other concerning symptoms, DDG would like you to keep your dog at home for the safety of the entire facility

Temperament

Dogs must be social, friendly and enjoy being around other dogs. Dogs must be non-aggressive and not exhibit signs of prey drive or have resource guarding issues.

Collars

To ensure safety while at play, all dogs playing/staying in our facility are required to have on a break away/quick release collar. Quick release/break away harnesses are accepted.

No buckle or martingale collars are allowed.

Break away/quick released collars are available for purchase within the facility.

Reservations

Daycare reservations at this time are not required but are appreciated & encouraged. If space is available we will always accommodate your pup. Calling ahead will ensure that we have room in our pack that day. Orientations and facility tours must be scheduled ahead of time. Boarding reservations are required to make sure we are able to accommodate everyone’s individual needs.

Holidays

We will be closed for daycare and overnight care pick ups and drop offs the following holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Holiday overnight care reservations require a $75.00 deposit. If a holiday reservation needs to be cancelled or altered it needs to be done 72 hours prior to the stay or the $75.00 deposit will not be refunded. This ensures that everyone who wants to stay with us over these time periods has every opportunity to do so. Please plan accordingly since we will book full well in advance.

In addition to the above stated holidays, Spring Break and MEA are considered holidays where the $75.00 reservation deposit and cancellation requirements are enforced.

Late Fees

Monday – Friday: $10 at 7:05pm and then an additional $10 at 7:20pm (for a total of $20)

Saturday and Sunday: $10 at 6:05pm and then an additional $10 at 6:20pm (for a total of $20).

If you have not picked up your dog by 7:30pm Monday – Friday or by 6:30pm Saturday and Sunday your dog will be boarded for the night and you will be responsible for boarding costs as well as a $20 in late fee. We appreciate your understanding. Although you may see staff inside this is the time we spend exclusively with the dogs playing, feeding, and cleaning.

*Please DO NOT knock on the door with the expectation of picking your dog up.

Cancellations

Daycare and overnight cancellations can be made by simply calling or emailing to let us know. We are happy to work with your scheduling needs.

A $75.00 cancellation fee is applied to any holiday boarding reservations that are cancelled after the 72 hour period.
